Hi All
Here's a few pictures from Thanksgiving that was hosted by Andrea's parents friend's Bob and Cheryl.
The Turkey was cooked on a BBQ (Texas Style) and was delicious!

Tucson AZ - November 2010
Well our trip to Tucson is well and truly underway.
The weather has been fantastic so far 25C (75-80F in old money).
We are all having a great time.
Luke has been keeping fit, hiking into the Catalina Foothills with Andrea's Dad and he has also been on a 17 mile mountain bike ride! He likes to spend his evenings in the hot tub / pool when he isn't busy entertaining his sister that is!
Today we went out to the Pima Air and Space Museum. It's a fascinating place with hundreds of aircraft dating back to the Wright Brothers.
Luke loved the SR71 Blackbird...but who wouldn't? It's a beautiful piece of machinery.
Anyway here are some pictures of our adventure so far.
Enjoy!

It's been a busy time for us
Hi Everyone,
Apologies for not keeping the blog up to date but we have been busy sorting Emma out.
She is now officially a Dual National and holds both American and UK/EU passports.
Andrea has been an absolute trooper and is doing really well with diapers and being a milk machine. She looks so good with Emma and has really settled into it.
I am Chief Winder and knee bouncer and handle the odd Code Brown too.
Emma has become very alert. She looks around and when you talk to her she looks straight at you.
She is strong with the force and as you can see she looks right at home as a Jedi apprentice :)

Emma snoozing as we ate our lunch out in Bromsgrove.

"I wonder if I can sneak this Gas out without Mom noticing?"

"Oh no! Code Brown! CODE BROWN!"

Emma's First Film
Here's a short of Emma in her swing. She likes to swing for about 10min then to sit still with the music on.
She's really growing fast! Well you know the saying 'Milk, it does a body good.'
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Emma Louise

Emma Louise was born by Ceasarian section on the 14th June at 3.50am UK time. She weighed in at 7lb 5oz.
Both Mother and Baby are doing well.
It was an incredible experience, a combination of euphoria, fear and panic. The Midwives at the Alexandra Hospital were amazing. Cool, calm, collected and reassuring.
When they realised that baby Emma needed a little help to come into the world they wasted no time and Andrea was whisked to theatre at 3.30am. I couldnt accompany Andrea as her surgery was under general anasthetic. If it were a local anasthetic (which would be the norm for a ceasarian if time allowed for it to take effect, I could have gone in).
Anyway, at 3.50am our Midwife stood infront of me and handed me Emma Louise and told me all was well with both. She also told me that Emma hosed the surgeon down :) (Thats my girl :)) )
Anyway here's a couple of pictures.

It's been a while.....
Sorry for lack of posts of late. Lots going on.
Mom to be is doing very well and baby also.
We have decided on names. If its a girl she will be called Emma Louise and if its a boy we will name him Callum Jon.
Andrea is getting a wee bit large now as you can see.

We also went to Cornwall for a long weekend which was really nice.
We had a Sea view.
Last weekend we went over to stay with friends in Nottingham. It was really nice to be entertained and our gracious hosts really stepped up to the mark.
A slideshow of Cornwall and our stay in Nottingham is below.
Oh and I accepted an offer on the house in Nottingham, so that will be sold shortly too!
It's all go!
We also got the new car today. Delivery mileage, Leather seats with back massager, Bluetooth, SatNav and new car smell.
Andrea chose the colour.

Cougton Court - National Trust Site
We had a wonderful day out today at Coughton Court which is a National Trust site and played host to Guy Fawkes amongst others.
Coughton Court
As an aside we also found a great place for you guys to stay should you ever come to visit us.
Coughton Lodge
It's also very reasonable with negotiable rates for longer stays.
You know your always welcome to stay with us but we also appreciate you like your own space, walks and relaxation and this place has it all.
The Coughton Lodge is directly facing Coughton Court and is a mere 2 1/2 miles from Studley. Andrea in her Uber pregnant guise managed the walk with ease.
Anyway I digress, we arrived at the Coughton Court and had a picnic next to the stream. It really was lovely, so much so that we wound up becoming fully fledged members of the National Trust.
Take a look.
As you can see Andrea swallowed a football.

A few pictures of late
Hi Everyone,
We went out to Nottingham for the day to run a few errands. It's been a lovely day. We had lunch at Vienna in Nottingham's Market Square.
Andrea had the Egg Plant and Butternut squash and I had Ye olde Lambs liver with spinach and cream mashed potatoe served with a red wine sauce.. Very yummy.
After our little jaunt to the smoke we headed back and are currently relaxing in the conservatory after having mowed the lawn.
Anyway, we hope you are all well.

It's been a wonderful weekend so we took the opportunity to carry out some garden maintenance.
I cut the grass and Andrea tended to the plants.
As you can see things are looking up. :)

Back to Phoenix
We've been back in Phoenix since Saturday, had a great party at Tony's catching up with everyone, yummy BBQ and then the baby shower Sunday at Cheesecake Factory. Debbie had fun games and the food was delicious.
Yesterday we went to BJ's a brewery/restaurant at Desert Ridge (twice even!) with Debbie and then again later with Brady and Cara who are planning a family trip to the British Isles and Ireland this summer.
Today we went to Tempe Town Lake with Sadie and had a nice long walk around the lake, beach park, and then Mill Avenue. We had a nice lunch at a bistro that allowed Sadie on the patio and she was a big hit with the staff.
Tomorrow Adam is going shooting with Brady and Debbie and I are going to the Phoenix Art Museum, there is an Ansel Adams exhibit on along with the permanent collections. Afterward we are all going to Dave and Busters for some games, my favorite is the trivia.
Here's some more photos to enjoy!

Adam summed it up well, just wanted to add a note on where we went today, to Kartchner Caverns State Park. It's an amazing cavern in the mountains of southeastern AZ near Benson/Ft Huachuca.
No photography is permitted so you will have to check the link:

I absolutely recommend a visit and funnily enough there was a couple from Wooton Basset (near London) on our tour....those English get everywhere!

Greetings from Arizona
It's been a wonderful trip so far. On a personal note from me (Adam) I have to say that Stuart & Louise have made me feel most welcome. Thank you.
A special thanks to Debbie for taking us to the Renaissance festival which is a Medieval festival with all the American trimmings.
A great day out!
It really is a wonderful place Arizona. The scenery is so diverse, yet it has it's very own unique beauty.
I have seen some wonderful sights including a Titan Missile Museum. A relic from the cold war, preserved perfectly to remind us all just how far we have come.
The weather here has been outstanding and we have had daily highs in the mid 70's with little or no wind, a stark contrast to the weather back home in England.
It's no wonder that there are so many Snow Birds here (as the locals refer to those who escape the winter).
Anyway, enough rabbiting on from me. Take a look at these slideshows and see for yourself what Arizona is all about.
The first slide show is from Andrea's parents house in Tucson.
This next slide show is from the Renaissance Festival
This last slide show is from my camera phone and is a combination of all my snaps on the trip so far and in no particular order.
Unlike Andrea mine aren't organised..

Two in a Row!
Greetings from the Weeble-Wobble!
Since last post we had our scan done, baby looks a bit more human and less alien. I get 1 more scan at 28wks to make sure growth is still on target.
Everything is ticking along, people at work have begun to notice and are shocked at how far along I am! There's also a few who like to rub my belly, funny how they don't care for me to rub their's in return!
No one asks to rub Adam and say well done....
The photo contest ended and the winners are to be announced on Sunday, so fingers crossed. Really looking forward to the trip, 11 days now!
Bella has a new spot, less of a cave so she is getting braver. She tucks up under the radiator in the guest room and meows for us to come in.
Sunday is Adam's birthday so watch this space!!

My "it's about time you made a post"
I've just been chastised for not posting recently...So thought I'd show you what I'm up to!
Adam found that my submission for the Daily Express photo competition is on the front page of the gallery of their favorites. And someone has to win, so why not me?
Today I went to Birmingham on the train and met a friend, we went to the Jewelry Quarter Museum which is an old factory opened in the 1890's and closed in 1981 and left intact from the day they shut. Only refurbishments made were safety requirements when the city bought it in 1990's.
Good news, it's been 5C for 2 days now and with the rain all the snow is gone. I've heard rumors that it's supposed to be cold and snowy until April, but these are the same predictors who said the summer was going to be a scorcher, so we will see.
And if you want to see photos of me as a space-hopper (as Adam says) or a Weeble-Wobble (as I say) here's your chance, we are at week 20. On Monday is the next/last scan. As we want it to be a surprise hopefully the photos won't show anything obvious. Also we're still working on names, so any ideas, pass them along.
Tomorrow we are going to Nottingham to get Adam's house ready for sale. He has some minor plumbing repairs and clean-up to do, nothing major, the house is in great shape and hopefully will sell quickly. The market is picking up, especially in his neighborhood.
Less than a month until our trip YAY!
Take care, Love XX
